A new chapter for A2i: employee ownership

We’re proud to share a new chapter in A2i’s story: A2i is now an employee-owned company.

Founded by Susie Fisher in 1999, A2i has always been built around its people and the values of equality, fairness and respect. Employee ownership gives our team a greater voice in the business and a shared interest in its long-term success.

What does employee ownership mean?

A2i is owned on behalf of its employees through an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). Employees do not own individual shares; the trust holds shares collectively for the benefit of everyone who works here.

The trust is overseen by trustees, including employee representatives, who act in the interests of employees collectively. Susie will continue as Managing Director, and our management team will continue to lead the day-to-day running of A2i.

Why have we become employee-owned?

Employee ownership helps us protect the culture and values that have shaped A2i. It gives our team a stronger voice in the company’s future while supporting its long-term stability and independence. It also creates more opportunities to work together on how we develop our services and support the people and organisations who rely on them.

What does this mean for our clients?

You’ll continue to work with the same team and receive the same commitment to producing high-quality accessible information. We’ll keep listening to your requirements and bringing care and expertise to every project.
