Education, COVID-19 and accessible courses for disabled students
A2i can transcribe your documents so your courses are accessible for disabled students.
A lot has changed for students and staff over the last few months, but there are still students with disabilities who need accessible course material, letters, and prospectuses – plus the latest COVID-19 regulations from your institution in their preferred format.
A2i are open; we can help quickly and we are flexible
We work with universities and colleges across the UK and have a lot of experience transcribing education documents.
A2i have a fast turnaround time, and can also dispatch course documents to you or your student on a weekly, monthly, or termly basis depending on your requirements and timetables.
Documents can be adapted for maximum accessibility by specific individuals, such as changes in layout, font size, paper colour, voice artist and much more.
Large Print – used by many people with different forms of sight loss or dyslexia. Professional adaptation of text, forms, tables, diagrams and more. Colour and font-size combinations adaptable for each student.
Braille – English and other languages, plus degree level maths and scientific transcription. Matthew Kirk from the University of Oxford said:
Perfect service, perfect product
Tactile diagrams – translate a visual image into a tactile one. We transcribe graphs, charts and maps including maths and scientific transcription up to degree level. Claire Shanks from The University of York said:
A2i were professional and so flexible in meeting our requirements and managed to turn around our order very quickly. The feedback from the student was the tactile diagrams were of a high standard and easily decipherable
