Our large print music service transforms standard sheet music into clear, readable formats for musicians with visual impairments. Also known as Modified Stave Notation (MSN), large print music adapts traditional scores by enlarging the stave, noteheads, lyrics and markings to improve clarity and ease of reading.
Rather than simply magnifying existing pages, every score is recreated from scratch using professional notation software. Our trained musicians work note by note to ensure each transcription stays true to the original layout and musical detail, while being comfortable to read and play from.
Each transcription is individually tailored, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. We adjust stave height, font and spacing to suit the reader’s exact needs, right down to enlarging specific elements such as noteheads or bar numbers for added comfort. We follow UKAAF and RNIB guidance to ensure consistency, readability and accessibility.
